Technical Coordination Assistant (full-time)

Job description

In this job you will be working with the Technical Manager and Technical Coordinator/Superintendent to ensure the technical maintenance and repairs of the Windcat Fleet. Besides coordination of works carried out on the vessels, you will be a key person in sourcing equipment, consumables and spare parts.

Working tasks

  • Provide high level of customer support to offshore vessels and onshore team members on all Supply Chain matters
  • Lead buyer in engineering management of vessel parts
  • Negotiation of contracts with (key) suppliers
  • Goods return to onshore Catalogued and Non-catalogued items
  • Goods transport to operational sites
  • Manifesting materials onshore
  • Ensure plant is inspected and repaired as required
  • Maintain, track and return of all rental equipment
  • Manage engineering stores/plant/equipment
  • Quality assurance standards are maintained for all materials. Quality records and quarantine processes
  • Work is carried out in compliance with company internal control standards and procedures and all other control documents
  • All documentation complies with and is available for internal and external compliance audits
  • Perform regular physical inventory stock taking of marine engines and technical parts
  • Maintain accurate records in the materials system in regard to goods receipt and goods issue
  • Purchasing of new build vessel components
  • Raising of Purchase order numbers in Oracle system
  • Communicate with accounts departments in order to complete and authorize payment runs
  • Liaise with the Site manager and onshore teams to ensure material requirements are adequately pre-planned
  • Communication with Technical manager regarding vessel downtime/refit procedure’s and parts to be supplied/purchased
  • Coordinate with engineers and technical department in regard to vessel refit and open job cards
  • Safe storage and segregation of hazardous goods in accordance with statutory regulations
  • All hazardous goods are transported to and from the facilities in accordance with IATA regulations, IMDG Code and Clients procedures
  • Waste management

Job requirements

  • Skills and experience with logistic work in warehouses and transportation
  • Appropriate skills & experience for working with hazardous materials in warehouses and keep records (COSHH)
  • Team player
  • Proactive, being able to perform the work that need to be done independently
  • Fluent in English in speech and writing
  • Administrative skills
  • In possession of driving license
  • In possession of forklift certificate (or willing to obtain)
