Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the HR Advisor will play an active role in embedding the recently formed HR function across the business. This is a broad, hands-on role, ideal for someone looking to take their next step in a generalist HR Advisor role. Full time or part time can be considered.

Job description
  • Assist with the implementation of the HR strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
  • Assist with the onshore recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, selection and offers and assist with the crew recruitment process as and when required
  • Oversee the onboarding process and assist with managing probationary periods
  • Manage the leaver process including conducting exit interviews
  • Serve as a visible point of contact for employee inquiries and issues, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Provide guidance to management on, and undertake when required, disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, performance management and any other HR/employee relations related processes.
  • Assist with flexible working requests and family friendly employment policies
  • Implement performance appraisal systems, ensuring timely and constructive feedback is provided to employees.
  • Provide advice and guidance on day to day performance management
  • Keep up to date with, and ensure compliance with employment law and regulations
  • Issue contracts of employment and other employment documents
  • Actively promote and implement HR policies and procedures,
  • Liaise with Payroll Manager on any payroll amendments
  • Assist with the identification of training needs and development of training programs
  • Take an active role in implementing the wellbeing strategy in conjunction with the wellbeing committee and assist with the management of the company’s employee assistance programmes
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and employee engagement.
Person specification
  • Previous HR experience in an HR Assistant or HR Advisor role
  • Previous employee relations case management experience
  • Full/part qualified Level 5 CIPD or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of employment law
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence others
  • Ability to handle and priortise a busy workload
  • Demonstrable problem solving skills, presenting solutions to identified problems
  • Attention to detail in managing HR records, compliance, and reporting
  • Ability to build constructive relationships
  • Flexibility to handle a wide range of HR duties and adapt to changing needs
  • Ability to travel across UK and to NL as and when required (with notice)
