Windcat, operating since 2003 and owned by CMB of Belgium since 2020, is Europe’s leading offshore personnel transfer company, predominantly operating in the offshore wind sector but also the oil and gas sector. Currently they do this via two business units;

Windcat Workboats

Windcat Workboats owns and operates a growing fleet of over 50 offshore crew transfer vessels with an ongoing new build programme. The vessels operate mainly in the European offshore wind sector, but also in the oil and gas industry and outside Europe. The vessels are designed and built by ourselves and, as such, include over 19 years of experience in the field. The vessel’s layout and propulsion is optimised to transfer personnel offshore in a safe and comfortable environment. Windcat Workboats works with its joint venture partners; FRS Windcat and TSM Windcat in the German and French markets respectively.

Windcat Offshore

Windcat Offshore has been established as a sister company to Windcat Workboats in 2022. It will be a dedicated business focused on CSOV ownership and operations. The business will build on the success and competencies of Windcat Workboats and directly benefit from expertise within the wider CMB group, not least in the management of larger vessels. Whilst a newly established company, the business has already commenced the recruitment of several CSOV experts and will continue to do so over the short and medium term. Windcat Offshore will deliver the first CSOV in the Elevation Series into operations in 2025.

Our organisation provides the highest quality of service, enabling the charterer to perform their work offshore without delay. The focus on safety has the highest priority in the operation of the vessels and can be found throughout the organisation. The size of our fleet and the variety of vessels ensures that we can deliver the right vessel to each project. In order to determine the vessel best fit for your project we look forward to discussing this with you.

Windcat is committed to conducting its business in full compliance with the law and to adopt the highest ethical standards. Accordingly, we are committed to ensuring that there is no known slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business or in our supply chain. Our aim is not only to ensure compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 but also to support, through our own actions and in collaboration with others, the reduction of modern slavery that can take place in supply chains.
